MSS History is an opportunity for students to engage in meaningful discussions, research and analysis, and express their insightful opinions about historical issues and events. In addition, the Blog will showcase some of the amazing accomplishments and experiences of MSS History students, and also the endless array of activities that happen at MSS throughout the year. Students, teachers, and families are encouraged to navigate through the site and visit often to learn of the many exciting topics and ideas being expressed by MSS students. Join the discussion and chat it up!

HOMEPAGE: Regular updates and blogs on historical topics, class events or activities, and also school wide events and issues. Log on regularly to join the blog and post your knowledge, opinions or thoughts. LINKS are provided as a variety of tools for the class, such as the Globe and Mail, CBC news, textbook reference pages, school website, and other popular website links. The YOUTUBE link features Mr.Jenkinson’s youtube video page and may be viewed by students for entertainment, education, and also to complete some course requirements.

VIDEOS: View this page see videos posted by Mr.Jenkinson. They will be school or class related and will often require viewing to complete a blog entry for a particular course. It is a resource page.

WEST AND THE WORLD: Grade 11/12 West and the World students will view this page to read and participate in the blog. West and the World topics will be posted regularly and students will follow instructions and comment regularly with their own analysis and opinion of historical events and issues.

10 HISTORY: This page offers the grade 10 students an opportunity to read and research the topics posted and complete a blog entry. Students will learn to analyze and communicate their opinion of the events or isses being discussed.

12 SOCIETY: This blog will allow Grade 11/12 Society students to participate in the blog discussions on-line. Students will be expected to regularly read the blog and post their own ideas, research, and opinions.

RESOURCES: Visit this page for your specific class resources, such as handouts, links, powerpoint lessons, and pictures. These resources will be there for review and also for absent students to stay on schedule. Students may also wish to preview the next topic or work ahead of the class. This page is a work in progress this semester and may not be finalized until later in the school year.
